B194D - Power Liftgate Rear Zone Switch - Stuck: Notes

• >>When Monitored:<< Whenever the power liftgate module is awake.
• >>Set Condition:<< When the power liftgate module senses a voltage between 1.9 volts and 3.8 volts on the liftgate switch signal circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.

Possible Causes
G29 LIFTGATE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND
LIFTGATE SWITCH
POWER LIFTGATE MODULE

Test Step 1 - DTC Present

• With the scan tool, record DTCs.
• Erase DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the liftgate several times from the rear switch.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B194D - Power Liftgate Rear Zone Switch Stuck?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 2 Test Step 2 - Liftgate Rear Switch Short 

No

• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
