Test Step 2 - Power Liftgate Drive Unit

Disconnect and inspect the power liftgate drive unit harness connector. Clean and repair if necessary and repeat step 1. If the connector is OK, continue testing.
Erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B1965 - Power Liftgate Sensor Supply Circuit Low?

Yes

Go to Test Step 3 Test Step 3 - Position Sensor Supply Circuit Short to Ground

No

Replace the power liftgate drive unit. Refer to POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT .
Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
