Brake System And Shock Absorbers, Visually Inspecting For Leaks And Damage

Check the following components for leaks and damages:

• Brake master cylinder
• Brake booster (with ABS: hydraulic unit)
• Brake pressure regulator
• Brake caliper
• Shock absorber (only during Inspection)
• Dust caps on the brake fluid bleeder valves (must be present)
• Caps on guide bushings (must be present)

-- Make sure the brake hoses are not twisted.

-- Make sure the brake hoses do not come in contact with any vehicle components when steering is at full lock.

-- Check all brake hoses for chafing, porosity and cracks.

-- Check the brake lines for corrosion.

-- Check brake connections and mounts for proper seating, leakages and corrosion.

-- Check the brake lines and brake hoses for correct placement and attachment in the brackets.
