Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera -R242-, CALIBRATING, DYNAMIC

Preparing 

Conditions 

• Refer to Necessity of Calibration  .
• There may be no DTC memory entry present because they prevent the calibration.

-- Check the camera's field of view.

If the camera can no longer recognize the lane markings due to poor visibility, this could be caused by:

• Dirt or ice in the camera's field of vision.
• The camera's field of vision is fogged over.

Conditions 

• If there is heavy contamination on the inside of the windshield in the camera's field of vision, the area must be cleaned by hand. For this, remove the camera and the lens, then clean the windshield with cleaning solution. Refer to the appropriate service information.

-- Check sensor, brackets, and retainers for damage, external influences, and secure fit.

Calibrating 

Conditions 

• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester connected.

-- Perform the "driver assistance systems front camera calibration" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
