Setting Flywheel Adaptation Using VOLVO System Tester

NOTE: VST cannot read exact flywheel values from Motronic 4.3 system. Follow procedure carefully to ensure flywheel adaptive is set.
  1. Connect Volvo System Tester (VST).
  2. Using VST, access MONITOR TEST scroll list. Find FLYWHEEL STATUS and FLYWHEEL ADAPTIVE values.
  3. Drive vehicle in 2nd or 3rd gear at engine speed of 2500-3500 RPM. Decelerate without using brake.
  4. Shut off engine and allow to cool below 120°F (49°C). This puts engine in range to perform TRIP driving cycle.
