Verification of TRACS warning indicator function: Verify: Verification

HINT: After repair, it is necessary to check that the symptom no longer exists. 

HINT: Perform as follows:

• Ignition off.
• Reconnect connectors, components etc.

  • Ignition on.
  NOTE:

  The indicator will not go out if the TRACS function is deactivated by means of the switch or if a fault has been detected.

  • When ignition is turned on the control module will activate TRACS warning indicator. Check that the warning indicator goes out after approx. 2 seconds.

Check that the indicator comes on and then goes out. 

• OK 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NOT OK 

  VERIFICATION FAILED:  The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed. Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
