Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

All models are equipped with self-diagnostic systems. A Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) will illuminate CHECK ENGINE to signal driver of a system malfunction. Fault codes are retrieved using a scan tool connected to Data Link Connector (DLC). On C70, S70 and V70, DLC is located on console in front of shift lever. On S90 and V90, DLC is located to right of parking brake lever. The diagnostic unit with an LED indicator, activation button, and function select cable is no longer used.
