Removal & Installation
NOTE:
Always inspect TCM and control module box for damaged terminals or sockets and that they have not been pressed out of their locking positions.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position before removing TCM. Open control module box and remove TCM (slot No. 3, nearest right fender). After TCM is replaced Throttle Position (TP) signal must be adapted to new module. Block all 4 wheels and start engine.
- Place gearshift selector in "D" position. Fully depress accelerator pedal so kickdown switch closes. Keep accelerator pedal fully depressed for 5 seconds. Release accelerator pedal and place gearshift in "P" position. TP signal is now adapted to new TCM.
NOTE:
Parking brake and foot brake MUST always be applied during the following procedure.
