• Ignition off.
• Check control module terminal #5 for contact resistance and oxidation. Remedy according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
• Connect the control module.
• Connect the selector switch.
• Selector switch on.
• Connect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to the data link connector (DLC).
• Ignition on.

  • Activate the Scan Tool (ST) in MODE 2.
  • Move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
  • Activate the SET- switch.
  • Check whether response code 2-1-3 is returned.

Is response code 2-1-3 returned? 

• YES

• NO 

  Refer to Replacing the component
