Fault Conditions

Electronic throttle module has registered a fault in Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal from accelerator pedal position sensor. ECM-9180 is stored in ECM.

No substitute values are used but accelerator pedal is ignored when braking. If DTC occurs along with ECM-911A and/or ECM-912A, throttle unit is in mechanical limp home mode, with the throttle disc in fixed position.

If DTC occurs along with ECM-911A and/or ECM-912A, symptoms can include uneven idle, jerking during engine braking and very poor throttle response. Maximum speed approximately 32 MPH (50 km/h).
