Checking For Permanent Or Intermittent Faults

To determine if the problem is intermittent or permanent, the diagnostic trouble code's status must be read out.

• Ignition on.
• Read out status by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool).

In the VIDA-window, after the diagnostic trouble code, it is noted if the problem is permanent or intermittent.

Is the fault permanent? 

• YES 

  Refer to REPLACING TRANSMISSION 

• NO 

  Refer to INTERMITTENT FAULT
