SCL=Steering Column Lock
DESCRIPTION
Model year 2009 and newer P1 vehicles are not built with a functional SCL. There have however been cases of CEM DTC 6C44 (Steering column lock module, faulty signal) being set.
The DTC is set at:
- Key-off on keyless vehicles (switching the ignition to position 0)
- Key-out on non-keyless vehicles (removing the key after switching the ignition to position 0).
SERVICE
In the event of this DTC on a 2009 and newer P1 vehicle, perform a CEM reload. Perform an ignition cycle to confirm the DTC does not return.
