Sun Sensor (4/165) [2018-2022]: Description

The sun sensor consists of:

• A sun sensor, which consists of four sensing elements. The sensing elements are located under a diffusing lens which reduces the sensitivity of the sensing elements to the angle of the light hitting them. By comparing the values between them, the sun sensor can calculate the sun's:
  • Intensity.
  • Azimuth.
  • Elevation.

• The sun sensor also includes an alarm indicator, which consists of three LEDs.
