Ignition Timing
- Clean surface of crankshaft pulley and chalk mark degree line. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at distributor. Connect tachometer and timing light. Place transmission in Neutral. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
- With engine at idle, check ignition timing. Lowest mark on timing cover is TDC. If timing is incorrect, loosen distributor hold down nut, rotate distributor, and adjust timing to specification. Tighten hold down nut. Remove plug and reconnect distributor vacuum hose.
