With the engine running, the Intake O2 Sensor at operating temperature, pump cell active. When the PCM detects a circuit has fallen outside the allowable range during O2 Sensor closed loop operation, a Hot test is initiated. If an open circuit is detected the specific circuit which failed can be identified.
