Fuel Pressure Regulator: Removal
- The fuel pressure regulator is located on end of fuel rail. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Remove air inlet panel in order to gain access to fuel pressure regulator. See AIR INLET PANEL under MISCELLANEOUS.
- Place a shop towel under fuel pressure regulator to absorb any lost fuel when removing regulator. Disconnect atmospheric vent hose from fuel pressure regulator.
- Remove fuel pressure regulator clamp bolt. See Figure . Spread clamp only enough to allow fuel pressure regulator to be removed. Twist while pulling outward in order to remove fuel pressure regulator from fuel rail. Inspect "O" ring seals for damage. See Figure .
