Installation Procedure
- Position the steering gear (2) on the drivetrain and front suspension frame.
- Install the steering gear bolts (1) and tighten to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).
- Raise the drivetrain and front suspension frame into position. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement

- Install the drivetrain and front suspension frame stabilizer brackets. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Stabilizer Bracket Replacement
- Tighten the front drivetrain and front suspension frame bolts. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement
- Remove the hydraulic jack and adjustable stands.
- Install the rear transmission mount strut to frame bolts. Transmission Mount Strut Replacement - Rear
- Connect the transmission fluid pump motor cable connector. Transmission Fluid Pump Replacement
- Install Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod@Steering Knuckle Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
- Install Front Stabilizer Shaft Link@Strut Assembly Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
- Install the front, middle, and rear portions of the front compartment splash shield. Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement (Front)Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement (Middle)Front Compartment Splash Shield Replacement (Rear)
- Install Front Compartment Air Deflector Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement
- Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Install Intermediate Steering Shaft Inner Boot Intermediate Steering Shaft Inner Boot Replacement
- Install Intermediate Steering Shaft@Steering Gear Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
- Enable the high voltage system. High Voltage Enabling
- Measure and adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment
- Center the steering angle sensor. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
