Preliminary Procedures Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement . Remove the liftgate lock cylinder. Refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder Replacement .
1	Liftgate Outside Handle Nut (Qty: 5) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 5 N.m (44 lb in)
2	Liftgate Outside Handle Procedure Disconnect the license plate lamp electrical connector. Refer to Rear License Plate Lamp Replacement .
