Chime Test 9A - Chime Inoperative With Turn Signal On
NOTE:
Perform CHIME TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Test drive vehicle. If speedometer is not functioning properly, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 1A . If speedometer is functioning, operate turn signal in both directions. If turn signal does not function correctly, repair as needed. Go to next step.
- Operate left turn signal. Using scan tool, read turn signal status. If scan tool displays OPEN, then CLOSED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display OPEN, then CLOSED, go to CHIME TEST 9B .
- Operate right turn signal. Using scan tool, read turn signal status. If scan tool displays OPEN, then CLOSED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display OPEN, then CLOSED, go to CHIME TEST 9B .
- Using scan tool, read turn signal status. If scan tool displays ENABLED, go to CHIME TEST 9C . If scan tool does not display ENABLED, enable turn signal chime with scan tool. Go to CHIME TEST 9C .
