Tachometer Test: 1.8L

Insert paper clip into 3-terminal tachometer filter connector at White wire. See Figure . Connect tachometer to paper clip and compare to engine tachometer. Replace tachometer if difference is excessive. See TACHOMETER SPECIFICATIONS  .
