System Tests: Notes
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See
COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
A New Generation Star (NGS) tester or other OBD-II compliant scan tool is required. Keep driver window rolled down when performing tests to prevent being locked out of vehicle. After repair has been made, clear DTCs and recheck system operation. Repeat self-test to ensure no DTCs exist.
