Test F: Speed Control Cable Slack Failure (DTC C1179)

Check throttle lever and speed control actuator cable for correct operation while measuring speed control cable slack. If cable slack is 0-.24" (0-6 mm) and throttle lever operates correctly, replace speed control servo/actuator. See SPEED CONTROL SERVO/ACTUATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If cable slack is not 0-.24" (0-6 mm) and throttle lever operates correctly and cable bracket is not bent, replace speed control actuator cable.
