Body Control Module (BCM): Installation

All vehicles
- 2.NOTE: Carry out Steps 2-13 only if installing a new BCM. Use the previous diagnostic scan tool session or start a diagnostic scan tool session using the PCM part number or tear tag number located on the PCM.NOTE: Some replacement BCM may be in transport mode. Follow the steps to deactivate transport mode.
Deactivate transport mode in the BCM. Refer to: Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation .

Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the BCM following the on-screen instructions.

Using the scan tool, select Tool Box/Module Programming/Programmable Parameters/Car Configuration Parameter(s).
- 5.NOTE: If a diagnostic scan tool is connected to the internet, it will automatically obtain As-Built data. If a diagnostic scan tool is not connected to the internet, obtain the As-Built data from Professional Technician Society (PTS) OASIS. Download the As-Built data to the scan tool or other storage device, such as a flash drive, following the on-screen instructions.
From the Car Configuration screen select " Retrieve PTS derived ASBUILT data". Follow the on-screen instructions to install the as-built data into the BCM.

Train the tire pressure sensors. Refer to: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor Location Calibration .
- 9.NOTE: Parameter reset must be performed on PATS and non- PATS vehicles.
Carry out the anti-theft system PATS parameter reset. Refer to: Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset .
