Installation Procedure

    Install and secure the rear sliding window (1) into the rear sliding window sash (2).

    Install the wiring harness retainer.

  3. Connect the rear sliding window defogger electrical connector (1) to the rear sliding window wiring harness.
  4. With the aid of an assistant, install the rear end panel reinforcement into the vehicle.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install and tighten the 20 rear panel access bolts (1). Fastener Specifications

  6. Feed the rear seat center belt, anchor plate, and buckle through the rear seat belt guide.

    Install and tighten the 8 rear end panel reinforcement bolts (1). Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Sealant should be applied along the top and side edges of the wiring harness grommet.

    Apply new sealant around the body wiring harness grommets (1). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Connect the wiring harness retainers.

  10. Connect all electrical connectors.

    Install the rear window weatherstrip (1).

    Ensure the seat belt webbing is not caught by panel clip tower and is in front of it.

  13. Body Lock Pillar Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    NOTE:

    Rear Window Lower Garnish Molding (1) - Install

    Connect the wiring harness retainer.

  17. Headlining Rear Trim Panel (1) - Install

    Connect the electrical connector.

  19. Rear Seat Position Center Reading and Courtesy Lamp (1) - Install
  20. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

    Feed the seat belt tensioner through the panel.

  22. Engage the retaining clips at the front and rear of the side door sill garnish molding (1).
  23. Side Door Sill Garnish Molding- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
  24. Install the front and rear side door weatherstrips as necessary.

    Align the bottom of the center pillar lower trim panel with the side door sill garnish molding.

  26. Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Bolt- Upper- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  29. Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Cover- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Rear Seat Cushion (2) - Install - Rear Seat Cushion Removal and Installation

    Front Seat- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x] - Front Seat Removal and Installation

  32. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
  33. Place the rear sliding window in the original position.
