Glove Box Removal/Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove these items:
   • Passenger's middle panel (see PASSENGER'S MIDDLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  )
   • Passenger's dashboard undercover (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  )
2. Open the glove box.
3. Remove the screws (A) and the bolts (B).

4. Close the glove box.
5. Pull out the glove box (A) by hand to detach the clips.

6. Disconnect the glove box light connector (B), then remove the glove box.

   Glove box lid replacement 

7. If necessary, open the glove box.
8. Remove the glove box lid (A).
   1. Detach the upper hooks (B) of the lid.
   2. Detach the lower hooks (C) of the lid.

9. Install the box in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
   • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
   • Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
