Component Inspection
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect HO2S connector.
- Measure resistance between Heater Control terminal(Pin No. 5) and Heater Power terminal (Pin No. 4) of the HO2S connector. (Component side)
Specification
HO2S Heater Normal Parameter HO2S(S1) Heater Resistance (Ω) 2.5~4.0 [20°C(68°F)] - Is HO2S heater resistance display near the specified value?
YES
- Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
NO
- Check HO2S for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good HO2S and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace HO2S and then go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
