Steering Pad Switch RH: Replacement

  1. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  ) 
  2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2 (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  ) 
  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3 (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  ) 
  4. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  ) 
  5. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH RH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Remove the clamp.
    3. Disengage the meshing of 2 pins and release the steering pad switch RH from steering wheel.

    4. Release the tab of steering pad switch cable from steering pad switch RH shown in Fig 2 .

    5. Disengage the 2 claws as shown in Fig 3 and open the latch on the top of the connector.

    6. Pull out of the connector while pinching the latch with fingers and disconnect the steering pad switch cable from the steering pad switch RH.

  6. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  ) 
  7. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  ) 
  8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See  AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  )
