Front Axle Hub Bolt: Replacement

HINT:

CAUTION: When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake fluid pressure may increase.
  1. TURN POWER SWITCH OFF 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF, and check that the "READY" indicator turns off.
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  3. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  4. REMOVE FRONT DISC  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  5. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT 
    1. Using SST, remove the front axle hub bolt.

      SST 09628-10011 

      NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

  6. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT 
    1. Install a washer and nut to a new bolt as shown in the illustration.
    2. Using a screwdriver or an equivalent to hold the hub, turn the wheel nut to pull the hub bolt until the bottom surface of the hub bolt head touches the axle hub.
      NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

  7. INSTALL FRONT DISC  (See REASSEMBLY )
  8. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH (See  INSTALLATION   ) 
  9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
