Removal [09/2017 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - ]
- REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE TCM
- Disconnect the engine wire harness connector (A) as shown in the illustration.
*1 Junction Connector - Disconnect the engine wire harness connector (B).
- Disconnect the engine wire harness connector (C).
- Disengage the claw to disconnect the junction connector from the connector holder.
- Disconnect the grommet from the engine room ECM box.
*1 Grommet *2 Connector Holder - Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
- Disengage the guide to disconnect the connector holder from the engine room ECM box.
- Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.NOTE:
After disconnecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 TCM connectors.
- Remove the 2 nuts and TCM from the engine room ECM box.NOTE:
If the TCM has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the 4 screws and 2 brackets from the TCM.
- Disconnect the engine wire harness connector (A) as shown in the illustration.
