Memory Seat Module Self Test: In-Vehicle

NOTE: If the seat is stuck in the most rearward and down position, it may be necessary to remove the seat to self test the module. See SEAT MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. See OFF VEHICLE TEST  .
NOTE: If module fails in-vehicle self test, it does not confirm that module is damaged. Also note that passing in-vehicle self test does not guarantee that system is operating properly. In-vehicle self test is meant to be a service aid, not a total system diagnostic test.
  1. Press white button located on module. See Fig 1 .
  2. If system finds no concerns it will flash a light emitting diode (LED) (located next to white button on module) four to six times.
  3. If system does find a concern, LED will either not flash at all, or it will flash less than four, or more than six times.
  4. If module passes test, check other components in system. If module fails in-vehicle test, perform an off-vehicle test.
