Dashboard Removal/Installation: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the following parts:
- Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front fender molding (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cowl panel (See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Windshield wiper motor (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front door (See FRONT DOOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

- Disconnect the A/C unit connectors.
- Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.
- Remove the bolts A.
- Remove the nuts B.
- Remove the bolts C.
- Remove the caps then set the rolled paper.
- Remove the bolts D and bolts E.
- Remove the nuts F and bolts G then remove the center bracket.
- Remove the bolts H. (See BOLT H INSTALLATION NOTE .)
- Pull the dashboard in the direction of arrow (1), (2) shown in the figure.
- Turn the dashboard 90°in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.
- Take the dashboard off from the front driver-side door opening.CAUTION:
- Removing the dashboard without supporting it can be dangerous. The dashboard may fall and injure you. Always perform the following procedure with at least another person.
NOTE:- If the dashboard frame is scratched during removal, apply a coat of black paint for rust protection to protect the painted surface of the dashboard frame.
- If the hard-plastic part of the dashboard is repaired, apply the following paint to the repaired area.
Color Repair paint No. Black 02 COLOR - Install in the reverse order of removal.
