Front Climate Control Unit Inspection: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Selector lever knob (Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (Refer to SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Console side panel (Refer to CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console (Refer to FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Glove compartment (Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Dashboard under cover (Refer to DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side decoration panel (Refer to DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front scuff plate (Refer to FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front side trim (Refer to FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Hood release lever (Refer to HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Fuel-filler lid opener lever (Refer to FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Driver-side lower panel (Refer to DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side lower panel (Refer to PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (Refer to SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (Refer to REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Indicator unit (Refer to INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front climate control unit with the connector connected. (Refer to FRONT CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Connect the negative (-) lead of the tester to body ground.
- Insert the positive (+) lead of the tester into each front climate control unit terminal and measure the voltage according to the terminal voltage table.
- If there is any malfunction, inspect the parts under "Inspection item (s)".
- If the parts under "Inspection item (s)" are found to be normal, replace the front climate control unit. (Refer to FRONT CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- If there is any malfunction, inspect the parts under "Inspection item (s)".
