Front Parking Brake Cable Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Remove the center console box. (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Remove the console panel. (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the center console. (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the parking brake lever. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the rear tunnel member. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the TWC from the main silencer. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Remove the TWC from the TWC hanger rubber (main silencer side). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Remove the insulator (No. 4). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Remove the clips.

  10. Remove the rear parking brake cable from the front parking brake cable.
  11. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  12. Remove the front scuff plate. (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  13. Remove the rear scuff plate. (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  14. Remove the B-pillar lower trim. (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  15. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  16. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  17. After installation, inspect the parking brake lever stroke. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION .)
