Lower Panel Removal/Installation: Driver-side

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Lower decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Hood release lever (See HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Partially peel back the seaming welt.

  4. Remove the bolt.

  5. Pull the driver-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure, and remove it while detaching the clips, hook, tab, and guide.

  6. Disconnect the cluster switch connector.

  7. Remove the data link connector.
  8. Disconnect the front parking sensor buzzer connector. (with front parking sensor)
  9. Disconnect the driver-side foot light connector. (with driver-side foot light)
  10. Remove wiring harness clips A and B.
    NOTE:
    • When replacing the driver-side lower panel, remove the following parts:
  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
