Airflow Mode Main Link Installation

  1. Move the front airflow mode links to the positions shown in the figure.

  2. Install the airflow mode main link in the direction shown in the figure.

  3. Move the airflow mode main link in the direction shown in the figure and verify that it rotates smoothly.

  4. Align airflow mode link tab A of the cover with the link groove on the airflow mode main link side, airflow mode link tab B of the cover with the link groove on the front A/C unit side as shown in the figure, and install the cover.
    NOTE:
    • The airflow mode main link is not secured, therefore hold it with your hand so that it does not detach.

  5. Verify that the airflow mode link tabs are engaged with the link grooves.
  6. Install the screws.

  7. Align the airflow mode main link shaft with the shape of the front airflow mode actuator hole, and install the front airflow mode actuator.

  8. Install the screws.
  9. Connect the connector.

  10. Install the clip.
  11. Install the following parts:
    1. Passenger-side front heat duct (See FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Driver-side lower panel (See DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Hood release lever (See HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    13. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    14. Selector lever knob (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  12. Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
