Preliminary Inspection

Visually inspect the components of the power window system. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage. Check the following:

• Improperly aligned window. See FRONT DOOR GLASS  under ADJUSTMENTS.
• Damaged window mounting (regulator and bracket).
• Blown fuse (30 amp).
• Damaged switches.
• Damaged motor assemblies.
• Damaged wiring harness.
• Loose or corroded terminals.

Repair as necessary, then retest system. If fault is not visually evident, perform power window system pinpoint test. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM TEST  under SYSTEM TESTS.
