Installing the front strap fitting
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Clean all threaded belt connections with micro-encapsulated outer and internal threads.
Shavings or other debris must not remain in the components.
If a microencapsulated screw is reused, it must be coated with the following screw locking agent: Loctite 243, medium strength .
The screw connection must be completed within 10 minutes as hardening begins after this period.

The screw connection must be completed within 10 minutes as hardening begins after this period.
- Feed in the strap fitting (2) and click it home.
- Pull the seat belt end fitting (2) in arrow direction until the lock plate (1) snaps in audibly.
The strap fitting can be rotated on the bolt if the lock plate is properly engaged.
Check
- Check whether the strap fitting can be rotated on the bolt.
Result
» The strap fitting cannot be rotated.
Measure
- Try engaging the lock plate again.
- Slide down the cover (1) of the safety belt (2).
- Perform the concluding check: Pull the strap fitting forward, up and back.
