Blower Unit: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER 
    1. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly upper (see REMOVAL ).
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER 
    1. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly lower (see REMOVAL ).
  4. REMOVE ECM (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE AIR DUCT (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  6. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and bolt.

    3. Detach the claw and remove the blower in the order shown in the illustration.
