Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Remove selector lever knob with the following procedure. Refer to Exploded View .

   Slide the selector lever knob cover (1) down.

   CAUTION:

   Do not damage the knob cover.

   Pull out the lock pin (2). Pull the selector lever knob (3) and knob cover upwards to remove them.

2. Release metal clips and pawls and remove shift selector finisher and center console upper finisher as an assembly. Refer to Exploded View .
3. Disconnect harness connector from push button ignition switch.
4. Disconnect harness connector from shift indicator lamp.
5. Remove screws (A) then remove slide plate (1).

6. Remove screws (A) then remove push-button ignition switch bracket (2) with push-button ignition switch (1).

7. Release pawls using a suitable tool, then remove push-button ignition switch (1) from push-button ignition switch bracket (2).

INSTALLATION 

Installation is in reverse order of removal.
