OBD (II) - P0354 - P1096: P0607: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE: If the fault status in the fault memory is "not present", erase the fault memory since it was caused by sporadic undervoltage.
DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE

Work instruction Display OK If not OK
1 Check the fault status Read out the "extended fault memory" Fault is "not present"
=> Erase fault
Fault is currently "present"
Go to step 2
2 Check terminal 15 voltage supply
  • Switch on ignition
  • Check battery positive voltage
Greater than 11 V
Go to step 3
=> Continue troubleshooting in the vehicle electrical system (contact resistance, fault memory entries for vehicle electrical system control module...)
3 Replace DME control module Go to step 4
4 Perform adaptation The following conditions must be satisfied to ensure that the adaptation is performed:
  • Do not actuate the accelerator pedal (for instance, make sure that there is not a carpet pressing on the pedal)
  • Vehicle is stationary
  • Battery voltage between 10 V and 16 V
  • Engine temperature between 5°C and 100°C
  • Intake air temperature > 10°C
    1. Switch the ignition on without starting the engine
    2. Using the 9588 Porsche System Tester II perform a "throttle adaptation" under the "System adaptation" section (the notes which follow must be observed)
