Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to ENGINE FRONT COVER REPLACEMENT .

  2. Remove the primary timing chain tensioner. Refer to PRIMARY TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the primary upper timing chain guide (1). Refer to PRIMARY TIMING CHAIN GUIDE REMOVAL - UPPER .
