Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine shield. Refer to ENGINE SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
  2. Loosen the rear part of the front wheelhouse front liner. Refer to FRONT WHEELHOUSE FRONT LINER REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove front transmission mount to subframe fastener. Refer to TRANSMISSION FRONT MOUNT REPLACEMENT .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT .
  6. WARNING: In order to avoid oil pan damage and possible engine failure, insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support.

    Support the transmission using a jack.

  7. Remove transmission mount fasteners (1)

  8. Lower the transmission.
  9. Remove transmission mount fasteners (2).
  10. Remove the left side transmission mount (4).
