Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the front door lock LH (see REMOVAL  ).
    2. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.

      OK 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      Lock
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4
      Unlock
    3. Reinstall the front door lock LH (see INSTALLATION  ).

    NG : REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the E6 front door lock LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the 2H and C45 main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E6-4 (L) - 2H-8 (ACT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E6-1 (UL) - C45-2 (ACTD)
      2H-8 (ACT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C45-2 (ACTD) - Body ground
    4. Reconnect the front door lock LH connector.
    5. Reconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connectors.

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK : REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
