CVTF Cooler (With Warmer Function): Installation

  1. Install the water hose (outlet).
    1. Install the water hose (outlet) to the water pipe RH.
    2. Install the front exhaust pipe. Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>FRONT EXHAUST PIPE>INSTALLATION .
  2. Install the water hose (inlet).
    1. Install the water hose (inlet) to the thermostat cover.
      NOTE: Install the water hose (inlet) with the triangle mark facing upward.
    2. Install the fuel pipe insulator No. 1. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DOTC)>FUEL INSULATOR>INSTALLATION .
  3. With a new CVTF cooler inlet hose and a new CVTF cooler outlet hose, install the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).

    Tightening torque: 

    23 N.m (2.3 kgf-m, 17.0 ft-lb)

  4. Connect the water hose (inlet) and water hose (outlet) to the CVTF cooler (with warmer feature).
  5. Connect the CVTF cooler inlet hose and CVTF cooler outlet hose to the CVTF cooler pipe.
  6. Check installation condition of hoses.
    • Make sure the hoses do not interfere with each other or with other components.
    • Check each hose for bent, excess curve, and twisting conditions.
  7. Connect the vacuum pipe to the engine hanger rear.

    Tightening torque: 

    18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

  8. Install the intercooler. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DOTC)>AIR INTAKE DUCT>INSTALLATION .
  10. Connect the battery ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  11. Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT .
  12. Adjust the CVTF level. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>CVTF>ADJUSTMENT .
