Rear Seat: Assembly

CAUTION:
  • Do not reuse the hog ring and hang wire.
  • Secure the hog ring using hog ring pliers.
  • Install the hog rings to the specified points securely and make sure that there is no wrinkle or twisting on the rear seat backrest cover and rear seat cushion cover.
  1. Assemble the seat surface and the seat pad in the same manner as the front seat. Refer to SEATS>Front Seat>ASSEMBLY .
    1. Install the hog rings, and assemble the seat surface and the seat pad.

    2. Install the hog rings on the back side of the rear seat cushion assembly.

  2. Install the hog rings and wire clip, then install the cover rear seat backrest.
    NOTE:
    • Do not contaminate or damage the seat surface and seat pad.
    • While installing the hog rings, prevent the seat surface from getting wrinkled.
  3. Install the lock assembly and lock assembly button.
    NOTE: Install the cable referring to the following.
    • Sedan model

  4. Install the frame assembly rear backrest.
  5. For the backrest LH, install the hog ring, wire clamp and J-fastener.

  6. Install the bushing headrest and the bushing lock headrest.
    CAUTION: Pay attention to the orientation of the headrest bushing.

  7. Install the lock assembly backrest rear or the lock actuator assembly backrest rear.

    Tightening torque: 

    Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description". Refer to SEATS>General Description>COMPONENT>REAR SEAT .

  8. Tighten the fastener on backside of the backrest assembly, and install the plastic fastener.
  9. Install the tether anchor cover. (OUTBACK model)
  10. Install the belt guide. (OUTBACK model RH side)
  11. Install the armrest assembly rear center. (RH side)

    Tightening torque: 

    Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description". Refer to SEATS>General Description>COMPONENT>REAR SEAT .

  12. Install the headrest assembly.
  13. Before installation, check the following items.
    • No break and fray on the seat surface.
  14. Install the rear seat. Refer to SEATS>Rear Seat>INSTALLATION .
