Inspection Procedure
- INPUT SIGNAL CHECK
- See input signal check PRE-CHECK .
- Check the indicator light when the brake pedal is depressed.
Standard: The indicator light goes off when the brake pedal is depressed.

- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Check that stop light comes on when brake pedal is depressed, and turns off when brake pedal is released.
- NG: REPLACE STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN CRUISE CONTROL ACTUATOR AND STOP LIGHT SWITCH)

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN CRUISE CONTROL ECU AND STOP LAMP SWITCH)
- Remove the ECU with connectors still connected.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Measure voltage between terminal STP (C15-3) of cruise control ECU connector and body ground, when the brake pedal is depressed and released.

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
