How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the meter / gauge system.
- *. Use the Intelligent tester or Techstream.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
- Delete the DTCs (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
- Based on the DTCs output above, try to force the output of the same CAN communication system DTC or meter / gauge system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC. Then recheck for DTCs (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
Result:
