HV Battery: Installation
- INSTALL CONDENSER CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the condenser to the HV battery with the bolt.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Install the condenser to the HV battery with the bolt.
- INSTALL NO. 2 HV BATTERY PACK WIRE CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Connect the 3 connectors, 2 clamps and install the No. 2 HV battery wire to the HV battery.NOTE: If the wire harness clamp is damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Connect the 3 connectors, 2 clamps and install the No. 2 HV battery wire to the HV battery.

- INSTALL HV BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL HV BATTERY TERMINAL BLOCK (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE CONVERTER (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL UPPER HV BATTERY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the upper HV battery cover sub-assembly to the HV battery with the 5 nuts and bolt.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Install the upper HV battery cover sub-assembly to the HV battery with the 5 nuts and bolt.
- INSTALL CONDENSER CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the condenser to the upper HV battery cover with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 2 clamps to the upper HV battery cover.
- Install the condenser to the upper HV battery cover with the 2 nuts.
- INSTALL NO. 1 HV BATTERY COVER INTAKE DUCT CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the No. 1 HV battery cover intake duct to the upper HV battery cover with the 6 clips.
- CONNECT POWER STEERING CONVERTER WIRE CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Connect the power steering converter wire to the upper HV battery cover with the nut.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Connect the power steering converter wire to the HV battery with the 4 clamps.NOTE: If the wire harness clamp is damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Connect the power steering converter wire to the upper HV battery cover with the nut.
- INSTALL NO. 1 HV BATTERY SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.- Install the No 1 HV battery shield sub-assembly to the upper HV battery cover with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Install the No 1 HV battery shield sub-assembly to the upper HV battery cover with the 2 nuts.
- INSTALL HV BATTERY CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.

- Using an engine sling device, place the HV battery on the luggage compartment floor mat.NOTE:
- Use cardboard or other similar material to protect the HV battery and vehicle body from damage.
- If it is difficult to install the engine sling device to the bracket holes, use a suitable adaptor such as a rope to install the engine sling device.
- Remove the 2 nuts and HV battery bracket.
- Using an engine sling device, place the HV battery on the luggage compartment floor mat.
- INSTALL POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the power steering converter assembly to the HV battery with the 4 nuts
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Connect the power steering converter wire to the power steering converter assembly with the connector and clamp.
- Connect the power steering converter wire to the power steering converter assembly with the nut.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Install the power steering converter assembly to the HV battery with the 4 nuts
- INSTALL BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the brake control power supply assembly with the 3 nuts
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Install the brake control power supply assembly with the 3 nuts
- INSTALL HV BATTERY CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.

- Push in the HV battery.NOTE:
- When pushing in the HV battery, 2 people are needed. One should work from the luggage compartment side and the other from the cabin side.
- Do not allow water in the rear air conditioning drain hose to spill out.
- When pushing in the HV battery, do not allow the wire harnesses and the HV battery case to interfere with the vehicle body.
- When pushing in the HV battery, do not allow the heat insulator on top of the HV battery to be torn due to interference with parts such as the rear air conditioning unit.
- Remove the luggage compartment mat sub-assembly
- Temporarily tighten the 3 bolts for the front part of the HV battery from the cabin side.
- Install the 2 HV battery brackets with the 2 clips, 4 nuts and 2 bolts.
Torque: Bolt
20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
Nut
7.5 N*m (77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
- Fully tighten the 3 bolts for the front part of the HV battery from the cabin side
Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the battery pack wire connector.
- Connect the 4 connectors and clamp
- Install the 2 rear cooler brackets with the 4 screws and 2 bolts
Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)
- Connect the connector
- Connect the AMD cable to the hybrid vehicle converter with the nut
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
- Connect the connector and 3 clamps.
- Connect the frame wire to the HV battery with the connector and 4 clamps.
- Engage the claw and connect the frame wire to the junction block
- Secure the frame wire to the luggage room junction block with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 13 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
- Install the wire harness protector with the 2 nuts and clamp.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Push in the HV battery.
- INSTALL SPARE WHEEL GUARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the spare wheel guard sub-assembly with the 2 clips.
- INSTALL BATTERY COOLING BLOWER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- INSTALL NO. 2 HV BATTERY INTAKE DUCT (See REMOVAL )
- INSTALL NO. 3 HV BATTERY INTAKE DUCT (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH (See INSTALLATION )

- INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler) (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT BATTERY ROOM VENTILATION HOSE
- Connect the battery room ventilation hose to the floor with the grommetNOTE: After installing the grommet, make sure that there is no clearance between the grommet and body.
- Connect the battery room ventilation hose to the floor with the grommet
- INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY
- Connect the air conditioning tube assembly to the HV battery with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)
- Connect the air conditioning tube assembly to the HV battery with the nut.
- CONNECT FRAME WIRE CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.

- Install the battery shield contact as shown in the illustration.NOTE: Be sure to install the battery shield contact in the correct direction.
- Connect the frame wire to the HV battery with the 2 nuts
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
NOTE: Be sure to align the red mark on the HV battery with the red part of the terminal block.
- Install the battery shield contact as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL NO. 2 HV BATTERY SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY CAUTION: Wear insulated gloves.
- Install the No. 2 HV battery shield sub-assembly to the HV battery.
- Install the battery cover lock striker and push the button.
- Secure the No. 2 HV battery shield sub-assembly to the HV battery with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- INSTALL HOLE PLUG
- Install the 2 hole plugs.
- INSTALL NO. 2 CENTER FLOOR TO BRACE EXTENSION
- Install the No. 2 center floor to brace extension with the 3 clips.
- INSTALL NO. 1 CENTER FLOOR TO BRACE EXTENSION
- Install the No. 1 center floor to brace extension with the 3 clips.
- INSTALL REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
